That this House welcomes the result of the Inchyra by-election in Grangemouth on 16th December which saw the SNP vote increase by 42 per cent. to win the seat by a majority of 321 votes; notes the vindication of the policies of the SNP administration of Falkirk District Council and SNP candidate, Angus Macdonald; and further notes the attempt by the honourable member for Falkirk East to influence the election by personally writing to every elector and the results of that intervention.
