Education Policy In Scotland

That this House warmly congratulates the new Scottish Government for its recent positive initiatives in education policy in Scotland; notes that in its first few weeks in power the Scottish National Party has scrapped the graduate endowment tax, ending the payment of tuition fees for Scottish students studying in Scottish universities; welcomes the announcement of a further 500 teachers for Scottish schools in the Scottish Government's objective to have classes of no more of 18 in early years education; and will continue to support the SNP Government's objective of improving Scottish education and tackling student debt.
