That this House welcomes news that the number of police officers in Scotland has reached a record high of 16,675; notes that there has been an increase of 441 police on Scotland's streets since the 2007 Scottish parliamentary elections; and believes that, with this increase in the number of officers serving communities and policing streets, the Scottish Government is delivering a more visible police presence, deterring crime and reassuring residents.
