Real Help Now Website

EDM number 839 in 2008-09, proposed by Stewart Hosie on 23/02/2009.
Categorised under the topic of Economic situation.

That this House welcomes the launch of the Real Help Now website which highlights the action being taken to help the economy come through the recession sooner; notes that this UK Government website holds up the key Scottish Government policies of freezing the council tax and providing flexible business support, despite opposition to these policies from Labour in the Scottish Parliament, as key efforts to help the economy through the recession; and believes that, if the Prime Minister is serious about tackling the recession, he should immediately rule out his administration's planned cuts to public spending in Scotland, which would be so damaging in a recession.

This motion has been signed by a total of 6 MPs.
