That this House congratulates Caithness KLICS on securing £23,640 of funding through the Big Lottery Fund's Young Start programme; recognises that the funding aims to support and encourage young people to understand their potential, and aims to maximise opportunities for them; notes that the funding will help to continue the fantastic work of Caithness KLICS who support young carers aged five to 18 by offering one-to-one counselling, respite breaks and by providing support and advice in schools as well as access to information services; commends the staff at Caithness KLICS for their hard work and efforts in delivering this project through training and drop­-in sessions, activity programmes and workshops that will benefit up to 50 young carers in the Thurso and Wick areas; and wishes them every success in their work.
