That this House congratulates the Dornoch Firth Group on its recent grant of £150,000 from the Big Lottery Fund's Medium Grants Scotland; recognises that the group aims to identify and develop ways to integrate people into the local community through a programme that allows individuals to develop life skills and to enhance their self-esteem in a safe, secure and friendly environment; further recognises that the group also aims to help the most vulnerable in their local community through utilising local resources and the wider community; notes that the funding will be used to continue to expand and develop the services it provides to the community, which currently includes a weekly group for adults with learning disabilities, a youth group and a lunch club for older people; and further congratulates all of the staff and volunteers for their fantastic hard work in providing help and support throughout the community, and for their community spirit, leading to all individuals feeling welcomed and valued in the area.
