That this House notes the amendment to Lords Amendment No. 26 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill in the name of Plaid Cymru hon. Members that seeks to uphold the devolution settlement in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland following the UK's departure from the EU; further notes with alarm the power grab in Clause 11 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill; regrets the decision by the Government to impose legislative restrictions on the devolved parliaments in devolved areas; notes that this amendment was originally tabled in Committee Stage of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill in this House jointly by the Welsh and Scottish Governments; further regrets the Labour Welsh Government's decision to support the Government in imposing these legislative restrictions on the National Assembly for Wales; supports the cross-party opposition in the Scottish Parliament to these legislative restrictions; and calls on the Government to support this amendment to remove the limitation on devolved parliaments to legislate on areas of EU competence that are devolved.
