Gairloch Museum Receives Queen's Award For Voluntary Service

EDM number 188 in 2017-19, proposed by Ian Blackford on 17/07/2017.
Categorised under the topics of Museums and galleries and Voluntary organisations.

That this House warmly congratulates the many dedicated people who have given up their free time over the last 40 years, preserving local heritage at the Gairloch Museum in Wester Ross, on receiving the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, which is the highest award any voluntary group can receive; and wishes them well in their future expansion plans for the museum to reflect the Cold War connections in the area, while creating a new education and heritage facility to preserve and build on their success in the community.
