Closure Of Community Industry Bristol

That this House deplores the planned closure of Community Industry Bristol at the end of November; notes that the company trains 52 16 to 18 year-olds in painting, decorating and business administration and that this provides an important service in painting and decorating elderly people's homes and schools; is concerned that, despite the fact that Community Industry Bristol is a financially viable organisation which receives funding from the Avon TEC, it is required to pay sums of moeny over to the company head office in Widnes, and that during this financial year the payments made have totalled ú14,040, leading to accumulated debt in Community Industry Bristol; and therefore calls on the Government to provide adquate funding to enable Community Industry Bristol to continue its work.
