Education In Sheffield

EDM number 1185 in 1989-90, proposed by Terry Patchett on 26/06/1990.

That this House is deeply concerned about the new financing of education in Sheffield; notes that budgets for secondary schools face a major squeeze; believes that such cuts could mean the loss of teaching jobs, with less cash available for classroom equipment, cleaning and maintenance; and urges the Government to make such funds available as will avoid the feared collapse of local schooling in the next two years.

This motion has been signed by a total of 29 MPs.
