Friendship In Northern Ireland

That this House warmly congratulates the Belfast artist, Ms. Rita Duffy, for her initiative in painting a Friendship Wall mural in co-operation with primary school children in adjoining Catholic and Protestant schools in Larne, Co Antrim; notes with great regret that Belfast is the last city in Europe still to be divided by a concrete wall between the Falls and Shankill roads in West Belfast; and earnestly hopes that now is the time to make political progress towards eliminating sectarian and terror and establishing peace and democracy in the province.
