Prime Minister's Stand on South Africa;Amdt. line 1:

EDM number 456A1 in 1989-90, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 13/02/1990.

Leave out from 'House' to end and add 'recognises the main reason for the Prime Minister's opposition to sanctions is the ú12,000 million of British investment in the cheap labour, apartheid economy of South Africa and the super-profits, based on exploitation, which that brings; considers that for Her Majesty's Government to describe that stand against sanctions as 'courageous', is pathetic; places on record its genuine admiration for the heroic struggle of the black workers and youth of South Africa and its hopes that the wealth and power of the capitalists, and the privileges of the whites, will be ended by a transition to a genuine, socialist democracy, based on the full implementation of the Freedom Charter.'.

This is a ammendment to 456.
