The Green Pound Gap

EDM number 474 in 1989-90, proposed by Paddy Ashdown on 07/02/1990.

That this House notes that the agricultural industry needs action now to close the green pound gap completely and immediately if confidence is to be restored and to ensure that our farmers are allowed to compete on equal terms with their counterparts in Europe; and therefore urges the Government to reject the European Community proposal to close the green pound gap by only one third this year.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
