Continued Imprisonment Of Charles Bester

That this House notes with approval the recent change in South African law which has led to a reduction in sentences for those conscientious objectors who refuse to join the South African defence forces on religious grounds alone; and urges the South African Government to extend clemency to all who have refused to join the South African defence forces on religious grounds, including 19 year old Charles Bester, who faces a further four and a half years in prison.
