Assault On The Father Of The House
EDM number 575 in 1989-90, proposed by Ann Widdecombe on 19/02/1990.
That this House deplores the cowardly and vicious assault upon the Right honourable Member for Castlepoint by pro-abortion demonstrators as he left the Royal Albert Hall following a speech to 3,000 Christians about the rights of the unborn child; salutes his steadfastness and personal courage; commends the singular commitment of the Father of the House to the cause of human rights; and thanks him for his moral leadership.
This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
