Department Of Trade And Industry And European Advertising Campaign

EDM number 876 in 1989-90, proposed by Jonathan Aitken on 20/04/1990.

That this House deplores the decision of the French Government to block a cheaper air service from London to Paris despite its repeated support for the Single Market measures aimed to reduce the very high air fares within Europe; and calls upon the Department of Trade and Industry to publicise the wide difference between rhetoric and action on the Single Market rather than to continue with its costly and misleading campaign of Euro nonsense.

This motion has been ammended, see 992A1 and 992A2.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
