Free Bus Travel For Merseyside Pensioners And The Disabled

That this House, concerned at the possible ending of free bus passes and the introduction of a boarding charge for concessionary pass holders, pensioners and disabled people, calls upon the Passenger Transport Authority to reject any boarding charge to the most vulnerable people in our society; and calls upon the Government to give sufficient funding to Merseyside Transport Authority and any other passenger transport authority in a similar financial crisis.
