That this House condemns the 37 per cent. cut in staff in Independent Radio News and believes that this second set of redundancies within seven months is not justified in an operation whose advertising is currently at record levels; and notes with concern that the plans for the parliamentary unit will lead to a cut of more than 55 per cent. since last September thus jeopardising the coverage of Parliament and politics on the stations throughout the independent radio network.
