Antarctic Wilderness Park

EDM number 739 in 1990-91, proposed by Elliot Morley on 23/04/1991.

That this House notes Japan's decision to support a ban on mineral exploration in the Antarctic; further notes the increasing isolation of the British Government on the stand it has taken; and calls upon the Government to join those Antarctic Treaty nations who are calling for declaration of an Antarctic World Wilderness Park.
