Un Arms Register

That this House congratulates the United Nations General Assembly on its adoption of a resolution establishing an International Register of Conventional Arms recording arms transfers, military holding and procurements; commends Her Majesty's Government for the role it played in this; and encourages further action through the United Nations on arms transfers, including the facilitating of regional security agreements, which limit military procurement and thus allow the deployment of people and resources from military to non-military production.
