That this House congratulates 17 year old James Stoddart, his parents Joyce and William and the staff at Rockwell High School in Dundee on his achievement in qualifying to study medicine at Cambridge University; notes that many pupils from Rockwell and other Dundee secondary schools go on to perform with distinction at university; and deplores tawdry attempts to denigrate the achievements of Rockwell High and many other Scottish secondary schools by publication of selective, misleading and incomplete data on the performance of Scottish schools, which undermines the excellent work by staff and pupils in these schools.
