Potato Marketing Board And Potato Marketing Scheme

EDM number 1128 in 1992-93, proposed by Bill Walker on 11/01/1993.

That this House notes that since the formation of the Potato Marketing Board the nation has enjoyed the benefit of a steady supply of potatoes to the consumer at reasonable prices; and calls upon the Government to retain this uniquely British body with its potato marketing scheme before the consumer and Scotland's and other United Kingdom farmers lose out in another flawed European farming and marketing scheme.

This motion has been signed by a total of 29 MPs.
