Profits Of The North-West Water Company

EDM number 151 in 1992-93, proposed by Liz Lynne on 02/06/1992.

That this House, noting that the profits of the North West Water Company have increased by 7.3 per cent., calls on the company to issue a clear statement as to how this extra 7.3 per cent. is to be spent, and what new schemes for water preservation are to be added to the existing programme as a consequence of this excessive profit; and further urges that some of the ú230 million profit by the company should be passed back to the consumers through reduced prices, and increased investment in water quality.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
