Cosford Indoor Athletics Facility

That this House regrets that the indoor athletics facility at Cosford is due to close on 1st April after 40 years' service to the athletes of Britain and abroad; considers further that it will result in a decline in opportunities to future generations of young people at a time when more not less provision is needed in order to enhance the United Kingdom's performance in the important activity of international sport and goodwill; and considers in addition that when youth services are struggling to maintain cohesion among young people in the face of an increasingly fragmented society resulting in juvenile crime rising unacceptably, Cosford has an important and continuing part to play in the development of the youth of Britain.
