That this House offers warm tribute and thanks to Mr Arthur Groves upon his retirement after 34 years as Secretary of the Erdington Constituency Labour Party; notes his long years of service to the Labour Party and its members and the people of the Erdington, and formerly Aston, constituency; applauds his devotion and commitment to the local party and the party in the City of Birmingham; wishes him every happiness in the years ahead; and, admires his determination to continue as election agent, after winning every Parliamentary election in which he has been involved.
