Educational Administration In Northern Ireland

EDM number 1917 in 1992-93, proposed by Eddie McGrady on 04/05/1993.

That this House is opposed to the contents of the Government's consultation document entitled 'Educational Administration in Northern Ireland' which will erode educational institutional structures in Northern Ireland; acknowledges that already 80 responses to the document have stressed the need for the retention of the existing five education and library boards; that the proposals within the documents will lead to the eradication of elected public representation on education and library boards; and that the proposals will lead to the sectarianisation of the administration of education; and calls on the Government to abandon its existing proposals.

This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
