Stirling Council Logo;amdt. Line 6:

EDM number 2157A1 in 1992-93, proposed by Michael Connarty on 16/06/1993.

leave out from 'Wallace' to end and add 'recognises that the logo containing Robert the Bruce, Stirling Castle and the rainbow colours of the International Co-operative Movement had become synonymous with the high quality of life and forward looking community-based policies of the Labour-controlled district councils of 1980 to 1992 to which not a single Scottish National Party councillor has been elected since 1980 and that the Conservative group who won control of the council by cutting playing cards are trying to attack the pride in local services associated with the Labour Party and the logo at the same time as Stirling District's environment is showing signs of serious neglect, the grass is uncut, the shoppers creche, the Womens Technology Training Project and many basic services are being run-down or abandoned; and calls on the honourable Member for Stirling to speak up in defence of the services his constituents had come to appreciate and accept until 1992 while at the same time calling for the Bruce and the rainbow logo to be saved.'.

This is a ammendment to 2157.
