Central European Time

EDM number 2508 in 1992-93, proposed by Alan Meale on 26/10/1993.

That this House welcomes the campaign to adopt Central European Time; notes that such a change would prove to be very beneficial to various sports and the fixtures they hold during winter periods; similarly notes that evening sporting events held at different periods of the year would gain from the opportunities afforded to their followers due to later start times; and calls upon her Majesty's Government to accept the recommendation of the campaign as soon as possible.
