Public Sector Pay (No.2)

That this House notes that the support for the Government's motion on honourable Members' salaries, agreed by 321 votes to 103 on Wednesday 25th November, has endorsed the public sector pay norm announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in his Autumn Statement; further notes that such a pay policy will devastate 500,000 people on low pay, take Ãº2 billion of spending power out of the economy and will add to the already unacceptable levels of unemployment; congratulates those honourable Members who voted against the Government; and calls for a campaign to protect the low paid from the ravages of this Government's public sector pay policy.
