Levy On Employers Of Disabled Persons

That this House calls upon the Secretary of State for Employment to review as a matter of urgency the levy on employers of disabled people introduced as part of the Access to Work proposals; notes that this levy will deter employers from seeking to use the invaluable skills offered by disabled people and will brand disabled people as second class citizens; and urges the Secretary of State to listen to the views of disabled people and groups representing their interests in this and other policy issues which directly affect their future.
