Birmingham And Brent

EDM number 1136 in 1993-94, proposed by Ken Livingstone on 27/04/1994.

That this House notes the warning of the Tory Party candidate for Billesley ward in the City of Birmingham to local voters not to elect irresponsible candidates who would 'make Brent look sensible'; welcomes this refreshingly honest departure from partisan mudslinging; and hopes the people of Brent will, next week, vote out their Tory-controlled council which has become a national laughing stock.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
