Avon Ambulance Trust

That this House is appalled at the recent proposition put forward by the Chief Executive of Avon Ambulance Trust to ambulance staff varying their terms and conditions of work; notes that these proposals renege on the undertaking given by the former Chief Ambulance Officer, now the Chief Executive of the Trust, in a letter dated 28th January 1992; is further concerned that the Chief Executive is refusing to negotiate; believes these proposals are damaging to the quality of service offered by the Trust; and therefore calls for the proposals to be immediately withdrawn and negotiation with the staff unions to be started. (Relevant registered interest declared).
