Government Transport Policies In The West Midlands

That this House condemns the failure of the Secretary of State for Transport to approve the direct daily flight scheduled from Birmingham International Airport to Chicago and the continuous delay in the commencement of the West Midlands light rail scheme, together with his tardiness in approving the expenditure on the urgent Black Country spine road North; and looks forward to the next Secretary of State for Transport giving greater priority to the West Midlands in these important matters.
