Penalty Fares In London;amdt. Line 5:

EDM number 993A1 in 1993-94, proposed by Andrew Mackinlay on 12/04/1994.

at end add 'and in particular is concerned about the inconvenience and vulnerability that will inevitably be experienced by passengers who commence their journeys to London, before interlinking with the Underground, at stations which are now the responsibility of Railtrack and which are often located in London's suburbs or the Home Counties, where senior managers still fail to maintain facilities for passengers to purchase tickets for their fares, or permits to travel; notes that the senior managers' continued indifference to their responsibilities to passengers as regards maintaining ticket machines and staffing ticket offices continues in spite of repeated representations by honourable Members representing London and Home Counties constituencies on behalf of their constituents.'.

This is a ammendment to 993.
