Nhs Conditions For General Practitioners
EDM number 1194 in 1994-95, proposed by Jimmy Dunnachie on 06/06/1995.
That this House deplores the fact that conditions within the National Health Service have so deteriorated in recent years that an increasing number of general practitioners are opting for early retirement at the age of 50 years and a worrying number of trainee general practitioner posts remain unfilled; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to take stock of these trends and reverse policies which have resulted in an increased workload in recent years for general practitioners who were already operating under a stressful work commitment.
This motion has been signed by a total of 48 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
