Traffic In Endangered Species In Hong Kong
EDM number 22 in 1994-95, proposed by Edward O'Hara on 16/11/1994.
That this House notes that the Hong Kong Agriculture and Fisheries Department has thus far been ineffective in eradicating the traffic in body parts of endangered species; and therefore calls for the establishment of an endangered species enforcement unit under the auspices of the Hong Kong Customs and Police with undercover capabilities which will enable it adequately to enforce CITES in Hong Kong.
