Honourable Member For Hamilton And Devolution

EDM number 335 in 1994-95, proposed by Alex Salmond on 10/01/1995.

That this House notes that the honourable Member for Hamilton has still not answered 20 questions on Labour's devolution policy put to him by the the honourable Member for Banff and Buchan; further notes that these questions were sent to the honourable Member for Hamilton over two months ago; considers it is extraordinary that the Labour Party should have difficulty in explaining the detail of devolution as it is six years since the Constitutional Convention was set up; believes that the Scottish people's desire for self-determination can only be expressed through an independent Scottish Parliament; and calls on the honourable Member for Hamilton to answer these questions immediately and make clear whether he would prefer to sit in a Scottish or British parliament.

This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
