Merseyside Fire And Civil Defence Authority

That this House, mindful of the severe budgetary deficiencies facing the Merseyside Fire and Civil Defence Authority, calls upon the Home Secretary to order a public inquiry under Section 33 of the Fire Services Act to investigate the manner in which the authority is performing its functions under the Act.
