ANGOLAN GOVERNMENT'S USE OF MERCENARIES

EDM number 362 in 1994-95, proposed by Edward Leigh on 11/01/1995.

That this House condemns the Angolan government's use of mercenaries supplied by the South African-based company, Executive Outcomes, in continuing the civil war in Angola; notes the contradiction between the South African government's failure to curb the activities of Executive Outcomes and its professed support for peace in Angola; and urges Her Majesty's Government to express concern about these issues to the South African government.
