Lewisham: Cleanest Borough In London

EDM number 662 in 1994-95, proposed by Jim Dowd on 22/02/1995.

That this House congratulates the Labour-controlled London Borough of Lewisham on being named by the Tidy Britain group as the cleanest borough in London after the largest-ever study of cleanliness in the capital; and further believes that this is to the immense credit of the Directorate of Environmental Services and underlines the status of Lewisham DIRECteam, the council's in-house contractor, as the premier public service provider in the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 30 MPs.
