Needs Of People With Traumatic Brain Injury

That this House congratulates Headway National Head InjuriesAssociation on commissioning research into the long-term residential care needs of people severely brain damaged, necessitated by the growing number of people with severe head injuries who survive because of improved medical skill and modern technology; further congratulates Nottingham Trent University who carried out the research on the publication of their report, Assessing the Long Term Residential Needs of People with Traumatic Brain Injury; and urges the Government and all those with an interest in this aspect of long-term care to consider the implementation of their recommendations.
