Investment In Education

EDM number 31 in 1995-96, proposed by Chris Davies on 15/11/1995.

That this House notes that a recent article in The Observer entitled The Dunces of Europe compared United Kingdom capital investment in education with Germany, France and other competitive nations; regrets the continuing shortfall in capital investment in buildings and equipment; particularly notes the failure of this Government to invest sufficiently into information technology; believes that children at school today will need competence in IT to ensure gainful employment; and urges the Government to invest significantly more in resources for schools.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
