Answers To Parliamentary Questions (No. 3)
EDM number 365 in 1996-97, proposed by Paul Flynn on 17/12/1996.
That this House notes the deterioration in the quality of answers to parliamentary questions as demonstrated in the answer given to the honourable Member for Newport West on 4th November by the honourable Member for Monmouth that a copy of a new application form for social security appeals had been placed in the Library; and notes that the honourable Member later told a statutory instrument committee that the incorrect form had been placed in the Library and the form requested by the honourable Member had not been printed even though the regulations that made the form obligatory had been in force for two weeks and the form was not expected to be printed for another fortnight.
