Welsh Water

EDM number 115 in 1997-98, proposed by Ann Clwyd on 12/06/1997.

That this House deplores the threat by Hyder, the Welsh water and electricity group, to stop rebates to customers and discretionary environmental spending if they do not approve of the level of the Government's windfall tax; and notes with disbelief that this statement was made on the same day that Hyder reported a 24 per cent. increase in pre-tax profits.

This motion has been signed by a total of 16 MPs.
