MOHAMMED FAYED'S PARK LANE OFFICES AND ILLEGAL FIREARMS

EDM number 1690 in 1997-98, proposed by Gerald Howarth on 22/10/1998.

That this House notes the article by Tom Bower in the Evening Standard of 15th October, containing evidence by Mohammed Fayed's former bodyguards Brian Dodd, Bill Curry, Mick Lee and Mike Waller, of dubious practices at Mr Fayed's office at 60 Park Lane; is disturbed that Mr Fayed established the bogus Park Lane Gun Club to legalise the possession by his employees of semi-automatic pistols with extended magazines, and that Mr Fayed instructed Curry 'if anyone attacks, you kill them', and told Waller 'You should be ruthless like Adolf Hitler'; and calls upon the Metropolitan Police to investigate.
