Conduct Of British Airways
EDM number 232 in 1997-98, proposed by John McDonnell on 10/07/1997.
That this House deplores the intimidatory tactics used by British Airways against their own members of staff who have withdrawn their labour as a consequence of the current industrial dispute; believes that the right to withdraw labour is a basic human right accepted by the International Labour Organisation; and considers that legislation should be considered which prevents the use of intimidation by employers during industrial disputes, including threats of victimisation and discrimination against strikers following a dispute.
