Brown Edge Telecommunications Mast

EDM number 235 in 1997-98, proposed by Joan Walley on 10/07/1997.

That this House believes that the time is now overdue for a review of planning guidance in respect of telecommunications masts; considers that in respect of every planning application, residents affected should have an opportunity to be informed and consulted; regrets that in respect of the Albany Developments proposal on behalf of Telecome Securicor Cellular Radio Ltd., near Tinster Wood, Brown Edge, local residents were not adequately informed; and therefore calls on the company to postpone the erection of the mast until residents have had the opportunity to express their views either directly to Staffordshire Moorlands Council or as set out in the Council's policy.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
