Lindisfarne Gospels - "gospel Factory"

EDM number 240 in 1997-98, proposed by Fraser Kemp on 14/07/1997.

That this House welcomes the great discovery of the "Gospel Factory" which produced the Lindisfarne Gospels 1300 years ago; notes that many of the greatest works of literature and art in the world were created by the monks of medieval Northumbria; believes that this discovery reinforces the campaign to return these treasures to their rightful home; and calls upon the British Museum to return the Lindisfarne gospels to the Historic Kingdom of Northumbria.

This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
