EDM number 929 in 1997-98, proposed by James Arbuthnot on 06/03/1998.

That this House notes that blind trusts are accepted to be inappropriate for funding a political party or the office costs of an honourable Member; notes further that the Prime Minister, the Right honourable Member for Sedgefield, as Leader of the Opposition, had his office costs met by a blind trust, the Labour Leader's Office Fund, and the donors have not been declared; and further notes that the Right honourable Member for Sedgefield has yet to declare in the Register of Members' Interests, the contributions he received for his campaign for the Leadership of the Labour Party.
