Conduct Of The Honourable Member For Newbury
EDM number 614 in 1998-99, proposed by John Gummer on 05/05/1999.
That this House deplores the attempt of the honourable Member for Newbury to avoid comment on the proposal to build the Vodafone HQ on a greenfield site in Newbury, by telling his constituents erroneously that there is a parliamentary convention that honourable Members never comment on planning matters in their constituency; and further notes that this is only one more example of Liberal Democrats seeking to back both sides in any argument.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
